When I came home today, my boyfriend had already emptied the postbox.
What I found was a huge pile of postcards on the dining table!
They're all from the postcrossing forum. The bigger ones are 'chain postcards'.
I've blogged about them before: the backs are separated into squares,
and a couple of persons send them through, until it comes back to the original sender.
The receiver makes the square with his/her own address pretty with stickers and pictures.
I also received two 'Tags' from one person,
who wasn't sure anymore, if she had sent the first one.
In a 'Tag' you tag the person who posted before you did,
and you send that peson a message for the address.
Then you send a postcard to that person,
and the next poster tags you and sends you a postcard.
So this afternoon I've been very busy re-writing and stickering postcards.
The chain cards will go on their trip again tomorrow.

Oh what a great idea when all mail seems to be of the electronic kind! I still have letters my mother wrote me 25 years ago after I was first married. Handwriting seems so much more personal than typing.
I love this idea!
I've heard of "FB'S" (Friendship books) but not a postcard chain. Very interesting.
